2024 marked the 5th annual Water Night event, delivered by The Water Conservancy.

In this report we detail the Water Night 2024 campaign, the new creative and channels we explored. We also assess the results, conclusions, and recommendations for 2025. Water Night 2024 has been the most successful year so far, breaking records from previous years.

Water Night 2024 featured a range of educational activities for kids, as well as sponsored giveaways as incentives for participation. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, we were able to gift Bosch Dishwashers, and Waterups, among many others.

Highlights included:

  • 38.8% increase in water literacy amongst participants
  • 5,368 households signed (15,492 individuals) 31% increase from 2023
  • Total campaign reach of over 4.2M and 5.3M impressions
  • Geotargeted social posts and bus advertising for water utility sponsors
  • Meta paid ads reach increased from 2023 by 254% and impressions by 552%
  • Meta organic content link click Increase from 2023 by 562%
  • Launched new research – ‘the real impact of hot water on energy’
  • Delivered in person Water Night launch event with 70 key stakeholders
  • 98% of people said they would be signing up to do Water Night again next year
